Favorite Cookie Recipe for The Holidays

Actually, that's a lie. This is my favorite cookie recipe of all time for ANY time of the year. They are especially yummy at this particular time of year, but work for anything, any time, anywhere.
They are called Lumberjacks and I've been making them since I was a kid, so that's a long time to taste test them.
They are a soft molasses, ginger, cinnamon cookie. Basically a ginger snap, but oh, so much more. Here's the recipe. Just don't overdo and enjoy.

If you'd like to share your own favorite cookie and recipe, add in the comments.
Happy Holidays!
Tami

Lumberjacks
1 cup sugar 1 cup vegetable shortening (butter flavor Crisco)
1 cup dark molasses
 2 eggs
4 cup flour
 1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt

1 tsp ground ginger
2 tsp ground cinnamon
Cream shortening and sugar, add molasses and eggs, then dry ingredients.
Take small amount and roll into a ball, then roll in bowl of sugar to coat. Arrange on greased cookie sheets or use parchment paper and bake at 350 degrees F for 12-15 min. (at elevation, I bake 6 minutes on the lower shelf, then move to upper shelf for 6 more minutes)
Yields: 4 dozen.
