Favorite Cookie Recipe for The Holidays

Actually, that's a lie. This is my favorite cookie recipe of all time for ANY time of the year. They are especially yummy at this particular time of year, but work for anything, any time, anywhere.
They are called Lumberjacks and I've been making them since I was a kid, so that's a long time to taste test them.
They are a soft molasses, ginger, cinnamon cookie. Basically a ginger snap, but oh, so much more. Here's the recipe. Just don't overdo and enjoy.

If you'd like to share your own favorite cookie and recipe, add in the comments.
Happy Holidays!
Tami

Lumberjacks
1 cup sugar 1 cup vegetable shortening (butter flavor Crisco)
1 cup dark molasses
 2 eggs
4 cup flour
 1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt

1 tsp ground ginger
2 tsp ground cinnamon
Cream shortening and sugar, add molasses and eggs, then dry ingredients.
Take small amount and roll into a ball, then roll in bowl of sugar to coat. Arrange on greased cookie sheets or use parchment paper and bake at 350 degrees F for 12-15 min. (at elevation, I bake 6 minutes on the lower shelf, then move to upper shelf for 6 more minutes)
Yields: 4 dozen.

Get Your Smut On, Review of Holiday Anthology

The holidays are just around the corner, literally, and it's been an exhausting time for everyone. If you work in retail, your life is not your own right now. You are subject to odd hours and schedules to accommodate shoppers.
If you're a last minute shopper, your stress level is probably high right now.
If you're having guests for the holiday, especially family, your stress level is probably through the roof.

Given all of this evidence, don't YOU deserve a break,to  take a load off and have a little bit of time for yourself in all of this chaos?

Of course you do! What better way to do that and still hang onto your holiday spirit, than by reading some sexy Santa stories? (You knew there had to be something sexy in all of this, didn't you?)

Get Your Smut On, a review site for erotic romance, has given the Kickass Sisterhood's debut anthology, Naughty Or Nice, an awesome review. http://bit.ly/1OgBIh0

So give yourself a little holiday gift that you can enjoy all by yourself when the kids go to bed or read in be with your partner and see what your Santa can put in your stocking.

Enjoy!

Loving Thunder. Plays With Horses.

Yesterday was a fantastic, and totally unexpected, day. The universe aligned just right in order for me to spend the whole day with horses: watching, grooming, herding, leading and healing.
Loving Thunder is a magical place where horses heal the hurts of people who need it such as adults and children with special needs and veterans with PTSD. They recently had a fund raiser so that the vets don't have to pay to come and work with the horses for their therapy.
What a wonderful place!

Have you been anywhere like this? If so, how about sharing that with the rest of us?

Men Suck. Do all men suck? Seriously?

Hi all,
Today is the day to answer that question. It's been asked for eternity and still, there is no answer. Sigh. But today, darlings, you'll be able to find out what happens when one man sucks in the life of a young woman by the name of Miranda.
This story is short, hot and to the point, so you won't have to wait long to find out the answer.
Just one request from little ol' me. If you read the story, please leave a review. Even if you don't like it, don't slam it, but give me good feedback about what it was you didn't like. We authors live for this stuff, dontcha know? (big wink here)
Anyway, here is a link to buy it on Amazon. Men Suck

Amazon Opens A Physical Store!

Well, how about this? I love book stores and this one is sure to be a winner. Wish I were closer to have a look inside. If you go, will you post something so I can live vicariously?

Writing The Alpha Male

For all those writers out there who write about Alpha Males in your books or those of you wanting to write them, here's an article for you. I love the Alpha Male (was married to one) but I have trouble writing them, so this article is for ME, too! How convenient. (Maybe I should have taken notes while I was married. Hmm.)
But the Alpha Male is everywhere in history, conquering this, discovering that, but my question is this: do they make good mates, or do we just love to love them, then move on to marry/or have a long term relationship with the BETA Male?

What do you think? What's your experience? What's your fantasy?
Do tell, as I'm on the hunt for a new man.
Tami
